You have been learning about the California Gold Rush
of 1849 in your classroom. Your new assignment in computers
will be studying artwork that depicts the times of the Gold Rush. Your completed
assignment will have a piece of artwork depicting the Gold Rush and a written description
about it. Your writing will tell what could be happening in the picture based on
what you already know about the Gold Rush.
- Find a picture at
this website.
- Copy the picture by right-clicking the picture.
- Open MS Word and paste your picture in the center of
the page.
- Enter down 2 times and un-center.
- Your paragraph should be indented and should be at
least 7 sentences. Don't forget to use a topic and concluding sentence
in your paragraph. Be sure to include the following in your paragraph:
name of the painting, name of the artist, and when the painting was painted.
Also include what you think is happening in the picture.
- When you are finished writing, add a border to your
entire page. You will be shown how to do this.
- Check with me before you print your finished page.
- Place your finished work in the tray under the window.
