Necklace

 

This necklace is an artifact of ancient Egypt. This necklace is made of jasper, serpentine, and carnelian. Very wealthy women from 1549B.C- 1298B.C would have worn it around their necks to symbolize wealth. Carnelian was used to represent the blood of Iris, and was a very popular stone in ancient Egypt. The necklace is 44 cm long and was commonly used in households.
