Coffin of Lady Mesehiti

 

            The coffin of Lady Mesehiti is filled with beautiful drawings and prayers. This coffin was built around 2066-1781B.C. It was made out of wood and paint. Lady Mesehiti’s coffin was laid out so that her eyes met the sun each morning. Near the tomb were tables with bread, beer, and meat. This was there so she could have them in her afterlife. This tomb was found in Asyut, Egypt.
