Marduk

Marduk was the God of the city of Babylon. As soon as Babylon became the capital of Babylonia, he became more special than he had been before. His symbols included a spade and a Mushhushshu snake-dragon. In Babylonian myths, Marduk had been called to fight and was ranked supreme because he won a battle against the goddess Tiamat. The people of Babylon created a New Years Festival in which the king would bow down to Marduck, and honor him. Marduck was a very good God of his time.
