Chantress of Amun was a common title
to noble ladies of Egypt. This tablet signified the women that would sing and
dance for the gods and in processions. The tablet is made of wood, resin, and
pigment and it stands 41.5cm. high. The piece was used for religious purposes
in temples and in the after life. This
particular tablet was of a woman who was a daughter to a ship’s captain.
