Friday, February 3, 2012 Dear Second Grade Parents, Thanks so much for the thoughtful cards and gifts for Teacher Appreciation Day. Your support and good wishes mean a lot. It’s been a fun and active week. The Healdsburg Science Fair packets were sent home last week. All students must either prepare a science fair project to be shared in class, or participate in the “Hands-On” Technology Day at HJH on Saturday, 3/10 from 10-11:30. Entering projects in the Healdsburg Science Fair is optional, but highly encouraged. We’ve had many winners and students seem to find it a rewarding experience. Since the Science Fair project registration is Sunday, 3/11, 2-8 p.m., and then again Monday 3/12, 7-9 a.m., projects will be shared in class the previous week. Projects should follow guidelines in the previously mentioned Healdsburg Science Fair packet. Second grade is the last year students have the option of doing a project OR attending the Technology Day. Beginning in 3rd grade, every student creates a project. Please mark your calendar with these important dates. Thank you. Please note there will be a short parent meeting in the church following our next First Communion Program Mass, Sunday, 2/12. Thank you. Please continue to send in ½ gallon milk cartons, as we need them for a project. We also continue to need prizes for our treasure box which is part of our behavioral reward system. Please keep us in mind next time you’re in the Dollar Store. Thanks so much! Have a great weekend! Sincerely, Kendis Camacho and Tracy Camacho
