Dear Parents,
The fourth grade has been working very hard this week. Catholic Schools’ Week was very busy. We began Sunday with the school mass, pancake breakfast, and open house. It was great to see so many St. John’s families at mass. On Monday, we had a great clan activity at Badger Park. On Tuesday, we enjoyed the Poetry Sharing. Congratulations to Mikayla, Robert, Ava, Cassie, Luca, and Kevin for doing a great job representing the 4th grade class. Wednesday brought in all of our special people. We really enjoyed meeting your child’s special someone. On Thursday, we showed our appreciation to the students with treats and a fun movie. Today the children made us feel much appreciated. Thank you for your generous gifts of appreciation. We completed our chapter on division this week.
Our Valentine’s Day celebration will take place on Tuesday, February 14th from 2-3. Please remember that if your child wants to pass out valentines, they must have one for everyone in the class, and valentines should not be addressed to specific students. Thank you for your help on this matter.
Please check with your child to see if he/she needs any supplies. Some children are running low on binder paper. It is important that all children have everything that they need to do their work. We are also looking for a lost silver tape measure that was brought in for the mission projects. Please check with your child to see if it may have accidentally ended up with his/her supplies.
Important dates:
· Monday, February 6th - 100th day celebration with 1st grade
· Tuesday, February 14th - Valentine’s Day celebration
· Monday, February 20th - No school, Presidents’ Day
· Tuesday, March 6th - Science Fair projects due
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Melodie Oseguera and Erin O’Dwyer
Happy Birthday this week to Hilary and Christopher
